Format one reference in five styles at once
The same paper often has to be resubmitted in a different reference style, and retyping a reference list by hand is where the missing comma and the wrong bracket come from. Enter the details once and copy the version your target journal wants.
How to use the reference formatter
The formatter produces APA 7, MLA 9, Chicago notes-bibliography, Harvard, and a plain text version with the DOI resolved to a live link, for journal articles and for books. It runs entirely in your browser, so a reference list in progress is never sent to a server.
Does it handle more than three authors?
Yes. APA lists every author up to 20, MLA uses et al. from three authors, and Chicago and Harvard list the authors you enter. Corporate authors are kept as entered, and none of the styles change the capitalisation of the title you typed.
